Our Vision

NeuWrite Davis is a science communication workshopping group affiliated with Science Says, a broader science communication initiative at UC Davis.

We meet regularly to workshop each others’ writing (and other communication endeavors) and discuss science communication tools and techniques. We work closely with Science Says to organize social, outreach, and event activities relating to science communication.

NeuWrite Davis follows similar initiatives in NYC, San Diego and Boston, which aim to bring researchers and writers together to critique and improve the communicability of one another’s work, discuss methods for broader and better science communication, and lead community initiatives to bring scholarly work to the public. Though prior chapters focused on neuroscience writing, our group plans to include thinkers from a wider range of domains. We encourage the participation of writers, scholars and scientists from varied backgrounds and stages in their careers. You’re welcome to join our new and growing community!
